02Who we are

This website is operated by Care Esteem Limited (“Care Esteem”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14811558, whose registered office is at The Watermark Studios, 9–15 Ribbleton Lane, Preston PR1 5EZ.

Policy Hub is provided by Care Esteem in partnership with The Governance Hub. This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data, including information you send us through our forms.

03What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit. They are used to make websites work, to remember preferences, and sometimes to track how people use a site or to show advertising.

Similar technologies include local storage (a small area of your browser where a website can save information) and tracking scripts or pixels. This policy covers all of these.

First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by another organisation whose service a website uses.

04Cookies we use

This website does not set any cookies of its own and does not save any information in your browser’s local storage or session storage. The only exception is the security check on our forms, described in section 05.

PreferencesNoWe do not remember settings between visits.
AnalyticsNoWe do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service.
Advertising and marketingNoWe do not use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies.

05Forms and third-party services

Some parts of the website send information to us or to a service we use, so that they can work. None of them set cookies on this website itself.

Website hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages quickly and securely, Cloudflare’s servers receive your IP address and basic browser details when you visit, as with any website.

Fonts

The typefaces on this website are hosted on this website itself. Your browser does not connect to Google Fonts or any other font service.

Security check on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile)

The walkthrough (demo) form and the sample policy download form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is using the form. The check loads from Cloudflare when you open a page with one of these forms. Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device, and may use a strictly necessary security cookie on its own domain for this check. It is not used for advertising or to track you across websites. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Webinar videos

Webinar videos and their images are delivered from Amazon Web Services (AWS). When you play a video, your browser connects to AWS, which receives your IP address and basic browser details in order to deliver it. No cookies are set.

Demo and sample requests

When you submit the walkthrough (demo) request form, the details you enter, such as your name, role, work email, phone number, service name and any notes, are sent securely to our own database so our team can arrange your demo. The sample policy download form sends only your work email address. This information is only collected when you choose to submit a form. Submitting a form does not set any cookies or store anything on your device. How we use, keep and protect this information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Links to other websites

This website links to other websites, including careesteem.co.uk and LinkedIn. These are plain links and set no cookies until you click them. Once you visit another website, its own cookie policy applies.

06The law

We comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

PECR requires consent before storing or accessing information on your device, unless it is strictly necessary. This website stores nothing on your device itself, and the only cookie that may be used, during the security check on our forms, is strictly necessary to protect those forms. No consent is needed, so we do not show a cookie banner.

07Managing cookies

Although this website does not set cookies, you can control cookies for every website you visit through your browser settings:

The Information Commissioner’s Office explains cookies and your choices at ico.org.uk.

08International transfers

Cloudflare (website hosting and the form security check) and Amazon Web Services (webinar videos) may process the technical information they receive outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by other approved safeguards.

09Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to be told how your personal data is used, to access it, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to or restrict how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

10Changes to this policy

If we ever start using cookies or similar technologies, we will update this policy first. If any of them require your consent, we will ask for it before they are used. The date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last updated.
